Coaches occupy a unique place in the lives of young people, and their influence extends far beyond wins and losses. Sportlinc equips coaches to become stronger leaders and positive role models who build healthy culture, communicate well, and positively influence youth.
Our original vision was simple: Coach the coaches. That purpose remains at the heart of everything we do.
One coach can influence an entire team.
Across the Lynchburg region, our rounded planning estimates point to roughly 17,500 young people participating in organized sports and about 1,000 active youth coaches in a typical year.
Rounded estimates for Lynchburg City and Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell counties. No centralized regional registry exists, and coaches and athletes may participate in multiple programs or seasons.
Training makes the influence intentional.
